St. Crispin in the Trenches: Shakespeare, Agincourt and the First World War (Another New Calligraphy, 2019)

St. Crispin in the Trenches focuses on  the relationship between Shakespeare and medievalism in the First World War. Using poetry, manipulated Shakespearian texts and academic prose, it explores the depiction of Agincourt in Shakespeare’s 1415; the tercentenary of Shakespeare’s death in 1916 and the lingering memory of both during another war in Northern France.

For every copy of St. Crispin sold, Another New Calligraphy will donate $1 to Storycatchers, a nonprofit empowering youth in the Chicago juvenile justice system to confront trauma and tell their personal stories through theatre.

Forthcoming 2020.
